This year was the 2nd year of doing the Auchentoshan Switch Competition in Partnership with Cellar Trends/ Auchentoshan,

This Year we were privileged to hold it at the Distinctive London Bridge Hotel, Courtesy of the General Manager Mr Nicholas .J. Cowell, Which was arranged by The F&B Manager Ms Serena Bartolomeo,

We had a good selection of bartenders from in and around London, We even had some from the south of England.

One guy was from Christchurch Captains Club , and one from the small Island Of Burgh in Devon, The Burgh Island Hotel.

I was also very pleased to see at least one Lady Competitor, I wish we had some of the Ladies from the Ladies only comp that we held in May, in which we had some very talented Ladies come along.

It was a good Competition and the standard of drinks were quite Impressive , But as always their can only be one winner.

There were some top of the industry judges, We had a Lady Judge to keep the guys under control, it was Sophie Bratt Asst Bar Manager from the Harvey Nicholls OXO Tower, Mr Armand Fasola Retired Bar Manager from The Ruebens Hotel Victoria , and past Chairman for the UKBG.

Mr Pedro Paulo Asst Bar Manager from the Coburg Bar Connaught and the Reigning UKBG National Champion who will be representing the UK & UKBG in Cape Town for the I.B.A World Finals in October.

Last but no means Least , Mr Fabio Immovilli Head Bartender at the Met Bar & London Vice Chairman UKBG.

The Drinks were tasted, The Scorings were done, The Decisions were made.

In First place was Mr Mattia Conti, from the China Tang, with 135 points
