This year for the first time the UKBG had a stand at the Boutique Bar Show, it was a collaboration between Spirits Business Magazine, Andrew Scutts Director of the BBS, and UKBG.
The Bar that was set up was dedicated to the “ Negroni” Giuseppe Gallo from Bacardi-Martini Sponsored Luca Picchi the foremost authority on the Negroni to fly in to London from his home in the Tuscany region of Italy to give a presentation on the Negroni.
The UKBG Team, Mike Sweetman Chairman, Fabio Immovilli Vice Chairman and Claudia Carrozzi the Editor of UKBG News manned the bar with some celebrity bartenders from all over London coming in to present their personal creation of the Negroni in 30 minute sessions.
The guests included on the first day, to open the bar was the Legend, formerly from the Savoy Mr Peter Dorelli, who is a avid Negroni drinker and maker.
Followed by our National Champion 2013 who represented the UKBG in Cape Town. From the Connaught, Coburg Bar Mr Pedro Paulo, treated us to a selection of Negroni’s from their new menu.

Next it was the very talented Mr Matteo Corsalini from the China Tang at The Dorchester, Matteo gave us a China Tang Negroni.
After all this the Man of the Moment Mr Luca Picchi gave an hour presentation in the Gallery room, as he is so close to the Negroni Family he had a lot of film and documents to show and talk about as well as making several great cocktails assisted by Peter Dorelli.
